Q1: What kind of work have you been involved in up to now?
I joined Renova in 2003 and initially engaged in the environmental consulting business. As the company's business evolved, so did my work.
Currently, after two maternity and childcare leaves, I serve as the coordinator of general affairs in the operation and management of biomass power plants. Our company plans to start operating six large-scale biomass power plants in the coming years, and we are building an operational framework by considering various risks so that the new plants can be run more smoothly and safely, using our already operating biomass power plant as a model case. Our team is working together to ensure that we can effectively pass the baton to the local general managers when the plants start operating in the future.
In my work, I value "compassion." Even amidst the daily busy tasks, I strive to add a touch of compassion to my words to facilitate smoother communication and ensure steady progress in our projects. I hope to act as a lubricant in the processes I am involved in.
I enjoy working in a style where we share our thoughts, overcome difficulties together, and aim for our goals. That's why I want everyone involved to feel as comfortable as possible while working.
Q2: Why did you choose Renova?
Many of the employees who are currently working hard at our company joined as new graduates over ten years ago, when we were still an unlisted venture company. They had a strong belief that they were the ones to pave the way and grow the company, making new proposals one after another and actually leading the company.
I would be delighted to move forward with those who find such aspects rewarding, step by step, in solving environmental issues. I value the "connections between people," not only with my colleagues at the headquarters but also with those working at the power plants and everyone involved with our company. I want to continue overcoming various challenges together.
Q3: What are the characteristics of RENOVA? (Good points, things you are proud of, things you are satisfied with, etc.)
When I joined in 2003, there were only about ten members, including the president, but everyone was working with enthusiasm, thinking, "Let's make this a great company and business! We will grow this company ourselves!" Even today, the corporate culture of working with passion remains strong.
I also appreciate the free atmosphere. Of course, it's a freedom accompanied by responsibility, but as long as one fulfills their responsibilities, there is no enforced rigid approach. After experiencing maternity leave and returning to work for my two children, I now spend more time for my family. During the challenging times after my first child's birth, my boss quickly took over the heavy workload I was handling, simply saying, "Prioritize your family."
I am grateful for being in an environment where I can flexibly change my work style according to my life stage and for having understanding colleagues.
