Brief description of the position:
The position holder is responsible for development, testing and applying Python/PySpark code for data extracting, cleansing, joining, aggregating and visualizing from various sources, executing exploratory and explanatory data analysis, performing feature engineering and model training / tuning and presenting results to all relevant BU/stakeholders and management.
Key Tasks:
- Monitor RTM data for suspicious values, categorize into known issues or analyze details for new issues. Create reports on single cars or fleet of cars depending on BU demands.
- Develop new use cases and features to support battery requirements, development, testing and simulation.
- Gather, clean, prepare and visualize data of electric vehicles / HV batteries. Merging data from different data sources.
- Support new vehicle / battery projects by monitoring Real-Time Data for new issues.
- Create meaningful and understandable reports with data visualization and interpretation using Python or BI tools.
- Maintain and improve code of existing use cases. Improve code performance and migrate to new versions.
- Support improvements of Cloud Services and IT tools in alignment with the IT and legal departments.
- Perform feasibility studies on new tools, software, algorithms or ML models.
- Responsible for internal and external resource planning incl. support for commercial process and hour estimation.
Qualification and skills required for the position:
- Degree in computer science, mathematics, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or adequate experience in at least one of these fields
- At least 3 years working experience in data analytics with Python/PySpark on Jupyter Notebooks, Apache Spark and Hadoop
- At least 2 years working experience in automotive & HV batteries
- Strong Python and Machine Learning skills
- Experience in supervised and unsupervised machine learning
- Experience in cloud services (e.g. Huawei OBS and MRS, Spark, Hadoop, Yarn)
- Experience in collaborative SW development and notebooks
- Understanding of high-voltage batteries, vehicle bus systems and automotive software
- Detail and target orientation, self-motivated, willingness to learn
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills
- Highly motivated team player with positive attitude on problem solving
- Fluent in English, basic German and Chinese preferable
