Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Chief of the Office of Delivery Improvement & Agreements (ODIA), who is a Supervising Transportation Engineer, the incumbent will reside primarily within the Delivery Improvement and Special Services branches of ODIA. The incumbent has the responsibility to identify and develop solutions to problems that are impacting project delivery. The incumbent will identify and lead team members consisting of content experts, stakeholders and sponsors to study, analyze and ultimately provide implementable solutions to gaps or complications that hinder project delivery. The incumbent will be required to study and understand a wide variety of Caltrans' policies and procedures, especially those in Project Delivery, Finance, Planning and Traffic Operations.PARF# 44-5-045/JC-473724
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Senior Transportation Engineer, Caltrans exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
