DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for our Health Safety & Environmental Officer, at our site in Poppintree, Dublin.
Reporting to the Foods HS&E Manager, this role will assist HS&E Manager in providing HS&E support to all departments within the business and act as their deputy during periods of absence.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare and submit statutory reports required environmental regulations and statutory requirements
- Prepare and submit packaging reports required under the Packaging Regulations
- Carry out safety inductions, including the provision of manual handling training where appropriate
- Liaise with HSA, Environmental Agency and Fire Authority as required in the absence of the HS&E Manager
- Manage production based SOP system, including reviewing and risk assessing all production based tasks and drafting procedures. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Review employees against relevant SOP’s and maintain site training system
- Proactively implement health and safety measures, procedures and training to reduce accidents and improve H&S culture onsite
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
- Investigate and report incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions
Requirements - Must have a Minimum 1 year H&S experience ideally within FMCG or within the Manufacturing Industry
- Solid understanding of on-site production working practices
- Sound understanding of relevant safety standards and procedures
- IT skill proficiency
- Flexibility on working hours required
