GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position reports directly to the EHS Manager and is responsible for supporting all Environmental, Safety, and Health activities at the ATL plant. The incumbent will effectively drive business processes by providing support to teams in the areas of environment, health, and safety. Additionally, the incumbent will assist in upholding all standards related to environment, health, and safety to create zero harm culture ensuring that all ATL-owned sites remain free from environmental pollution, health hazards, and unsafe working conditions and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate and enhance day-to-day Safety, Health & Environmental Programs, working closely with the EHS Manager and Global EHS team to promote and improve Risk Management.
- Assist in coordinating the site leading & lagging indicator reporting system, including leading accident investigations, determining, and implementing corrective & preventive actions, completing Lessons Learnt Reports for ATL.
- Support the EHS Manager in facilitating the completion of recommendations from Ansell’s Audit Programs, including assigning responsibility for recommendations, routinely checking completion status, and periodic reporting.
- Support operational teams on coaching, guiding and training employees on EHS risk identification, assessment, and implementation of control measures.
- Implement actions related to lesson learnt reports from other sites and monitor progress.
- Assist the EHS Manager in implementing EHS & risk management Standards including high-risk task procedures, Core operating procedures and preparing periodic reports while maintaining evidence.
- Ensure adherence to the EHS training calendar, EHS event calendar and improvement plan, coordinating with HR & other stake holders to achieve targets and objectives.
- Conduct Employee trainings, coachings and engagement activities based on lagging & leading indicator data analysis.
- Assist the team in achieving the EHS KPIs assigned by global EHS and provide periodic updates to management.
- Coordinate routine inspections with the plant executive team, listing items needing attention, working with management to assign corrective action responsibility, and completing progress/status reports as required.
- Support for conducting Safety Committee meetings, monitoring EHS related CAPA, Improving EHS communications and driving Employee engagement activities related to EHS.
- Support and execute Environmental sustainability programs, maintain ISO 14001, environmental management system standards, and conduct annual audits.
KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Degree or diploma in safety, environmental or engineering related field.
- NIBOSH IGC certification will be an added advantage
- 2+ years’ experience in EHS field

Additional Requirements:
