Currently this position involves responsibility of ensuring compliance with local and national regulations regarding environmental, health, and safety. The position will focus primarily on our SEW-EURODRIVE Lyman Manufacturing location with a secondary focus on assisting with corporate safety initiatives affecting all SEWEURODRIVE US locations. In addition to compliance, the position will focus heavily on reducing and preventing on-the-job incidents, environmental hazards, and chemical inventory tracking. Position physically located on site at the Lyman, SC facility with the possibility of infrequent travel to other SEW-EURODRIVE facilities and professional learning events.
Pay Range: $60K- $65K/Annually
Education: Prefer an Associates or Bachelor's degree or higher in an industrial EHS discipline, or other scientific/technical discipline

TOP most relevant ACTUAL TASKS being sought for this position:
- Direct, collaborate, and assist all departments with safety initiatives and projects.
- Identify and organize EH&S trainings.
- Ensure that all required EH&S permits & plans are up to date and all permit/plan compliance requirements are being met
- Work with plant management, supervisors, and shop employees to design and implement a system to identify and track chemical inventory. Oversee and maintain this system to ensure all chemical products are properly identified, stored, and accounted for.
- Perform regular environmental and safety audits and inspections.
- Oversee Manufacturing Safety Committee
- Responsibility for the following areas (including but not limited to): safety, health, HazMat, environmental compliance, OSHA requirements, ergonomics, emergency response, safety drills, PIT safety, training, accident/near miss investigations.
