Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, and supporting the overall maintenance operations.
Responsibilities:
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and repairing machinery, equipment, and tools to ensure optimal functionality.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and repair of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural components. Address issues such as leaks, lighting malfunctions, and heating/cooling problems.
- Groundskeeping: Maintain the exterior of the facility by performing landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and snow removal as needed.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify potential safety hazards or maintenance needs. Report findings to supervisors and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment. Assist in ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
- Assistance with Repairs: Assist maintenance technicians and skilled tradespeople with repair projects as needed. Provide support with tasks such as carpentry, painting, and minor plumbing/electrical work.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs performed. Maintain documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance techniques and practices.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
