For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $112,000 - $168,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Building Automation Project Manager
Location: Baltimore, MD
The primary focus for the Project Manager is to plan, coordinate, and deliver high quality BMS solutions to our data center and mission critical IT customers in the greater DC/Maryland/Virginia area. Additional experience in the following areas will enhance the candidates ability to be successful in this role:
- Data Center Operational Experience
- Mission Critical Equipment Knowledge
- Experience with electrical cabling strategies
- Exposure to electrical installation practices
- Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) Experience
- Model Change Management Experience
- Manages resources by planning, scheduling and forecasting manpower and resource requirements
- Coordinates project in accordance with contract documents and approved sales estimate
- Manages all document control for projects, including but not limited to RFI's, meeting minutes, punch lists, transmittal log, submittal log, change order log and issues log
- Prepares project billing revenue forecasts and schedules of values
- Review all estimates and change orders for accuracy and approve all team project submittals
- Accountable for financial management on all assigned projects
- Prepares installation subcontractor bidding documents and negotiates subcontracts
- Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents in accordance with Schneider Electric quality policy
- Prepares and updates project schedule and cost estimates
- Prepares and delivers final project documentation to the customer and collect payment
- Responsible for all customer-facing communication
What qualifications will make you successful?
The successful candidate will be a high performing, highly organized business professional responsible for delivering successful BMS solutions on time and on budget. To accomplish this goal the successful candidate will be able to effectively manage complex schedule and budgetary constraints while collaborating with a variety of customers, contractors, and subcontractors. The candidate will also be able to utilize connections with other Schneider Electric branches and business units to deliver effective solutions.
The successful candidate will embrace a servant leader and consultative approach as we position to be “the building professionals” and the trusted adviser to our customers and the market.
- This position is typically held by an individual that has at least 3 years in a Project Management Role and 5+ years in the controls industry
- He or she must have related industry knowledge; strong customer service skills, strong understanding of contracting procedures and tactics relative to such areas as project correspondence, documentation, timely notice of claims, subcontract negotiation and subcontract administration
- This individual should have an advanced understanding of HVAC control systems and have the ability to analyze control system drawings and schematics as well as knowledge of contract law, codes, standards and industry construction knowledge
- He or she must exhibit strong leadership skills including team leading and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility
