The specialist Sustainability & Environment will support our Director Sustainability & CSR in building the right environmental strategy around our products and services. We want to make sure that our strategy is driven by data and science to make sure that our transformation delivers the best environment results within our company level of ambitions. In partnership with the various functions, the specialist Sustainability & Environment will also be accountable to drive the execution of those strategies and measure our progress towards our goals.
More precisely, the specialist will actively contribute to the development and implementation of the environmental management system including auditing and compliance.
The key programs to develop are:
Circular economy (recycling, zero landfill responsible purchasing) Net Zero Emissions (building energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, carbon compensation and renewable energy certification. Governance, compliance, and business transformation
Description of tasks:
- Develop and implement the environmental management system including measurable energy and sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Oversee environmental compliance for sites across Canada.
- Support the Director S&CSR in looking internally within Belron and externally in our Market at best practices and emerging technologies / partners
- Monitor and track subsidies and other programs and assess risk and opportunities to Belron Canada business
- Support the Director in Building a strategic roadmap and multi-year targets for our environmental goals
- In partnership with local leadership, lead and coordinate execution of environment related programs and initiatives across Canada
- Coordinate sustainability and environmental assessments and supportive technical studies
- In partnership with colleagues (Finance, Real Estate, Opérations), support the development of the adequate data gathering systems to help measure our sustainability and environmental performance
- Prepare, review and make recommendation on Belron Canada performance in sustainability and environment for key programs including recycling and GHG emissions data (Scope 1, 2 & 3) and more.
Job requirements and working conditions:
- Must speak and write French and English (Bilingualism);
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with a strong emphasis on Excel;
- Permanent full-time position (35 hours/week); day job;
- Work location: Montreal head-office / possibility of teleworking in hybrid mode;
