Come expand your career and be part of an award-winning PD&E team! Metric is looking for a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Engineer/Transportation Planner. This position is responsible for developing and delivering work tasks for transportation projects and studies including planning or PD&E/NEPA documents, data collection, research, and documentation. Assist with coordinating the necessary tasks required to complete multiple projects in conformity to scopes of work to include the adherence to budgets, and schedules.
Day-to-Day:
Prepare, edit, format and produce technical reports and displays
Coordinate and participate in the development and execution of stakeholder and public involvement activities associated with transportation projects
Prepare PowerPoint presentations
Assist project manager and project engineer in the preparation of engineering reports
Assist in preparing roadway concepts in MicroStation (CADD)
Become familiar with FDOT Guidelines and Design Standards
Communicate with other team members working on the same projects
Communicate verbally and in writing, particularly related to technical information
What you should bring:
2-5 years of transportation/FDOT related experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, Urban Planning or similar is required
Required to have EI Certification or planning to take EI in the near future
Knowledge in GIS, MicroStation and Microsoft Office are a plus
Great attitude and work ethic
