The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow to undertake a project to develop efficient theoretical, numerical and experimental methods encompassing physics and data for the investigation of composite structures or fluid-structure interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake theoretical development of physics-enabled data driven methodologies for fluids and structure
Undertake and numerical simulations and experiments of morphing wing structures and flexible body
Innovate and seek technologies for potential applications
Publish quality research articles to disseminate study findings
Undertake project administrations and liaison
Provide regular updates and reports
Job Requirements:
Possess a recognized PhD degree in Mechanical/Environmental/Civil engineering or Chemistry/Physics/Materials or related disciplines.
Good theoretical and numerical skillsets
Optional - Experimental skillsets in wind tunnels
Optional – composite structure simulation, design and manufacturing methods
Good track record in scientific publication
Good interpersonal skills. Excellent teamwork awareness
Strong responsibility for research / work
