We are looking for a talented EHS Specialist to join our team and play a key role in managing and analyzing data to support our MDM organization.
As an EHS Specialist, you will work closely with various departments to understand their Safety Data Sheets needs, and provide solutions to their queries. You will be responsible on assuring the global classification of all materials, substances and goods handled at BI according to national and international regulations related to chemicals and dangerous goods.
Generation, maintaining and internal publication of Safety Data Sheets to inform employees about the hazards of substances or mixtures and provide advice on safety precautions.
Ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility comply with GxP regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supplier Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management
- Apply Supplier SDS management process for each requested region or country.
- Check Supplier SDS data is consistent with Pure_SUB and/or Real_SUB information in the SAP EHS data base in accordance to “Process of Supplier SDS”.
- Reclaim inconsistent SDS according to SDS check list and request revision by supplier.
- Transfer and/or update data from Supplier SDS in Pure_SUB and /or Real_SUB data fields in accordance to “Process of Supplier SDS”.
- Upload of leading Supplier SDS in SAP EHS data base and attach it to the Real_Sub.
- Perform 4-eye/buddy check.
- BI Safety Data Sheet Management
- Coordinates and manages the creation / update of substances with BI SDS for the following:
- Without Data - Substances without any data / study available. BI-substances in the research stage as well as reference substance and impurities
- Perform 4-Eye check for BI SDS Without Data.
- BI Mixtures Management
- Contribute to the success of the handover activity.
- After go-live support.
About our future employee:
- Professional Training / Master or Bachelor with scientific, technical or IT- background (chemical and/or technical background is preferred).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, cross-functional thinking, good inter-personal and -cultural sensitivity, persistence, EHS orientation, team player.
- Knowledge in SAP
- Very Good customer-oriented presentation and communication skills
- Profound knowledge in MS Office Tools
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak); language skills of other foreign languages are an asset
