We’re looking for a couple of experienced electrical apprentices and tradies with a background in roofing and/or solar panel installation to join our residential installation team ASAP! We take pride in doing the job right the first time, so if you’re big on safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork, you might be exactly who we’re looking for. You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have prior experience in the solar industry (preferred but not essential)
- Hold a valid Australian driver’s licence
- Have a Working at Heights certification and ideally a White Card
- Have an EWP ticket (a bonus, but not required)
- Have a strong base of trade skills, particularly in roofing (tile, tin, etc.), and are open to learning new tech and processes
- Are professional but down-to-earth, with a good sense of humour and team spirit
- Are open to occasional travel for project work
About the Role
As a Solar Roofer / Trade Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that support end-to-end solar and battery system installations for our customers. Your day-to-day could include:
- Collecting stock from our warehouse in Pinkenba or our local suppliers and transporting it to site.
- Roof preparation and maintenance.
- Installation of on-site components, including panels, inverters, batteries, cabling, roof racking, and conduits.
- Work alongside our electricians to ensure proper wiring and electrical connections of solar panels.
- System commissioning and quality inspections to confirm the integrity and functionality of the installed system.
- Provide friendly and professional engagement with customers throughout the installation, particularly with support to set up their system and help them understand how to use it.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area with proper disposal of waste materials.
