Phoenix Tailings is seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, installation, optimization, and maintenance of equipment at our Exeter, NH facility. In this hands-on role, you'll help build our rare earth refining systems from the ground up, working closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure equipment meets high-performance and safety standards. You'll also serve as a resource and mentor to junior technicians, helping shape our growing technical operations team.

Key Responsibilities:- Assemble, install, and test mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems based on engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in both new builds and existing equipment
- Support modifications and upgrades to machinery to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational performance
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure all systems meet design and functional expectations
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibrations
- Maintain detailed records of builds, tests, modifications, and service activities
- Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on technical procedures and best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes, documentation, and workflows
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with quality standards and operational guidelines
Qualifications:- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or technical certificate in electro-mechanics, industrial technology, or related field preferred
- 2–4+ years of hands-on experience in machine assembly, controls/instrumentation, or equipment maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, including wiring, mechanical assemblies, and electrical assemblies.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and wiring schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic/test equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset
- Ability to work independently and lead by example in a fast-paced, startup environment
