Term Lecturer, Environmental Science
Job Summary:
The Environmental Science Department at Barnard College seeks a full-time Term Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses. This is a one-year position beginning on July 1, 2025, with teaching responsibilities during the standard academic year from September through May.
Job Description:
Term Lecturer will teach three courses per semester:
EESC BC3017, Environmental Data Analysis (Fall and Spring),
EESC BC3300, Workshop in Sustainable Development (Fall),
EESC 3800-3801, Environmental Senior Seminar (Fall and Spring)
EESC BC1002, Environmental Science II Intro Env Sci & Sustainability (Spring)
Exact instructional assignments and other academic responsibilities are determined by the Chair or Director.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
Required Qualifications
Terminal degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Sustainability or related disciplines, with all requirements for the degree completed by the time of hiring offer.

Salary: $85,500
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
