DescriptionThe sustainable finance analyst is responsible for providing essential support in the planning and execution of research initiatives, capacity-building activities, and engagement with stakeholders. Additionally, the incumbent will actively contribute to various ongoing projects and programs undertaken by the sustainable investment team.
The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in sustainability-related topics. Furthermore, a demonstrated focus on specific issues like climate and nature will be hugely valuable in this role.

ResponsibilitiesContributing to the development and enhancement of SCOR’s sustainable investment framework in order to effectively integrate sustainability-related issues into the investment process across asset classes, especially regarding climate and nature;
- The analysis of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy and performance as well as the management of relevant sustainability risks and opportunities of companies, projects and funds;
- Follow-up on various initiatives (Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance, Finance for Biodiversity Pledge, TNFD…), participate in workshops, articulate with European and French regulation;
- Engaging with companies on sustainability-related issues through collaborative engagement;
- Working collaboratively with the team to assess the materiality or financial impact of sustainability-related factors on companies values;
- Conducting research on sustainability-related topics, identifying trends in sustainability and supporting ESG thought leadership research;
- Supporting and developing tools for the effective integration of ESG analysis across asset classes;
- Undertaking and preparing presentations on bespoke sustainability-related thematic issues;
- Participating to the reporting effort on sustainability-related topics.
QualificationsRequired experience & competencies
Experience:
- Prior experience in sustainability analysis;
- Has a good knowledge of financial markets, and particularly, interested in sustainable issues;
Personal competencies:
- Has a strong understanding of sustainability-related topics and their materiality impact;
- Passionate about sustainability-related issues;
- Has good writing skills;
- Has strong analytical skills ;
- Has a good aptitude for working with and manipulating data for analysis;
- Highly proficient in French and in English;
Soft skills:
- Is a team player and problem solving oriented;
- Has good communication skills;
Digital competencies
- Very good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
Managerial competencies (if applicable):
- Supervising interns and apprentices ;
Required Education
- Holds a Master degree (or equivalent) in economics, finance, engineering, (environmental) sciences… ;
