The Water Treatment Operator Safely and efficiently operates the mud belt presses and associated equipment at the factory.
Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- May operate gas or electric powered industrial forklifts and factory pickup trucks.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and record keeping for mobile equipment.
- Monitors all perimeters surrounding wastewater treatment and factory flume water/ponds systems.
- Completes flume chemical monitoring and documents chemical usage rates and performs all required record keeping.
- Responsible for pond inspections, collecting samples, operating laboratory equipment and performing analytical tests.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.
- Individuals are required to submit to and successfully pass a Safety Screen that evaluates their ability to safely execute duties and tasks of this position.
- Able to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Must take the training from MPCA (Minnesota Pollution Control Agency) and obtain a Class D Operator’s license within 18 months.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
- Must be able to walk on uneven surface to access outbuildings and work on heights. Other stair climbing, bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting required for checking on equipment and machines. Must be able to safely drive factory vehicle.
$27.35 - $27.35 /hr
