Join the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Northeast Region team as a 3 Year Limited Term Environment Education Specialist. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Northeast Region Information and Education Supervisor to represent the PA Game Commission (PGC) at wildlife centric programs across ten counties, help set up and work exhibits, assist with various youth involvement programs, and conduct and assist the teacher pre-service and in-service training programs for schools and post-secondary institutions. Work involves interacting with the public and other interested parties by providing information and answering inquiries related to wildlife conservation and PGC programs.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with scheduling, coordinating, and implementing educational and training programs, as well as developing educational materials for events, virtual learning experiences, and visitor center information. You will also assist with our social media presence and other marketing, outreach, and communication activities. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- 3 year limited-term, full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Some weekend work may be necessary.
- You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in environmental education, education, the natural sciences, social sciences, or parks and recreation; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- Willingness to work weekends and evenings.
- Willingness to wear a prescribed uniform.
Other Requirements:
