Security Dispatcher

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Security Dispatcher to join our team and effectively carry out safety and security policies through communication that provide for protection of visitors, employees, animals, and zoo assets.
The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-orientated and proactive professional with strong communication and multitasking skills. This individual will be responsible for actively monitoring and managing security systems, including radio and phone communication, gate traffic, surveillance, access control, and emergency weather radar. They will dispatch security officers, assist with requests, track response times, and handle emergency notifications. Additional duties include maintaining equipment inventory, submitting reports and work orders, and responding to security incidents as needed.
Minimum Training & Experience
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ security, and/or dispatch experience or related discipline.
- Degree in Criminal Justice or related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Prior experience as a dispatcher preferred.
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
