Job Description: Sustainable Policy and Advocacy Advisor

Position Title: Sustainable Policy and Advocacy Advisor
Location: Khopat, Thane, Maharashtra 400601
Reports to: General Manager
Type: Full time / In - office

Position Overview:

The Sustainable Policy and Advocacy Advisor will lead efforts to promote policies supporting sustainability, climate action, and environmental protection. The role involves engaging with policymakers, stakeholders, and advocacy groups to influence policy and drive positive change in sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on sustainability and climate policies, providing recommendations for advocacy strategies.
  • Advocacy: Develop and implement advocacy campaigns to influence environmental policy at local, national, and international levels.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable policy solutions.
  • Strategy Development: Lead policy advocacy strategies aligned with organizational goals and monitor progress.
  • Communication: Prepare policy briefs, reports, and advocacy materials to effectively communicate policy positions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Environmental Policy, Sustainable Development, Public Policy, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in policy analysis and advocacy, focusing on sustainability or climate change.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills; experience with international environmental frameworks and policy processes.
  • Personal Attributes: Passionate about sustainability, collaborative, and able to work under pressure.
