Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of commercial construction preconstruction experience, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications: LEED certification or other sustainability-related certifications.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, storage) and associated technologies.
Additional Skills: Proven expertise in developing accurate cost estimates, managing project timelines, and leading cross-functional teams. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Technical Skills: Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Hammertech, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Budgeting: Developing detailed project budgets, cost estimates, and schedules. Ensuring that all project parameters align with client specifications, renewable energy industry standards, and project goals.
Collaboration & Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal teams, architects, engineers, and external stakeholders to define project scope and specifications. This includes working together to integrate renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, and energy storage systems into the overall design and construction plans.
Renewable Energy Systems Integration: Oversee the integration of renewable energy technologies, ensuring that these systems (solar, wind, energy storage) are accurately incorporated into the project design and construction plans. Ensuring that these systems meet industry standards and performance requirements.
Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Managing the procurement process will be a key part of the position, including preparing RFIs, RFPs, and facilitating subcontractor selection. Ensuring that all necessary resources and expertise are in place for the successful execution of renewable energy components.
Risk Management & Problem-Solving: Throughout the preconstruction phase, being able to proactively identify and evaluate potential risks, challenges, and opportunities. Create and implement strategies to mitigate risks and provide solutions to any issues that arise, ensuring the project stays on track.
Project Transition & Communication: As the project moves into the construction phase, ensure a smooth transition by providing all necessary documentation and deliverables. Effective communication and leadership will be essential as you guide the project team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity at every stage.
The Location
Roncelli is headquartered in Sterling Heights, Michigan. This position will be hybrid between our main office and jobsites through the State of Michigan.
