The Asset Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and performance optimization within the Asset Management team. This role involves administrative support, process enhancement, and cross-functional coordination to drive operational success.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized Asset Coordinator to support the Asset Operations department in ensuring regulatory compliance, team coordination, and operational tracking. Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, this role focuses on optimizing workflows, monitoring plant performance, and ensuring structured asset administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure regulatory compliance by tracking permits, standards, and contract obligations.
- Promote a strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture within Asset Management.
- Support the Biodiversity team with environmental mitigation measures.
- Coordinate across teams to enhance workflow efficiency and standardization.
- Oversee meeting documentation, action tracking, and reporting obligations (NERSA, IPPO, NTCSA).
- Maintain and improve the ISO 55001 Asset Management System and document control.
- Assist with performance monitoring, O&M execution, and defect tracking.
- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for emergencies and manage emergency phone rotations.
- Support financial administration, including payment processing and budget tracking.
- Assist in training coordination to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- National Diploma or Higher Certificate in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination, asset management, or operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Basic Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) training.
Advantageous:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Environmental Science.
- ISO 55001 (Asset Management) or ISO 9001 (Quality Management) certification.
- Project management certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Coupa) and data tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy, industrial operations, or project management.
