In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Knowledge in preparing annual financial statements.
Ability to analyze routine to complex accounting issues and other information and draw sound conclusions and decisions to ensure proper accounting transactions.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office and accounting systems, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word and Access Database.
Knowledge of California State budget, GAAP, GASB, SAM, UCM and the ability to apply fiscal policy to report criteria.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple assignments effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Ability to work in team environment.
