POSITION SUMMARY
The Policy Research Intern supports the work of the Population and Sustainability program and will work on research and writing projects related to a variety of subjects from reproductive health to overconsumption. The internship will provide valuable experience working on real-world problems and solutions. The intern should have excellent writing and research skills and be dedicated to protecting biodiversity, sexual and reproductive health and rights and a democratic economy.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research state food code policies and how they can be updated based on the new federal food code guidance
- Research legal implications of abortion pills and their relation to environmental laws
- Build campaign outreach and advertising strategy and materials (fliers, press releases, social media, etc.)
- Stay up to date on national news, policy and trends related to Program’s work
- Conduct literature reviews, writing, research and data analysis related to sexual and reproductive health and overconsumption and associated solutions
- Perform other job-related duties and research as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal working schedule is Monday-Friday, schedule will be determined with your supervisor.
