POSITION SUMMARY
The Operational Excellence Manager and Job Site Delivery Manager oversee and optimize warehouse processes and material deliveries. The Operational Excellence Manager identifies gaps, implements improvements, and ensures standardization to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and performance while collaborating with teams to boost productivity, cut costs, and support growth. The Job Site Delivery and Milk Run Manager ensures timely, safe delivery of solar materials to customer sites, managing just-in-time logistics and coordinating with warehouse, drivers, and field staff to maintain high service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate warehouse operations to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement process enhancements to optimize workflow, inventory accuracy, and labor productivity.
Standardize best practices across warehouse locations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Collaborate with leadership to align operational strategies with business goals.
Lead training initiatives to drive process adoption and improve employee performance.
Monitor key performance metrics, analyze data, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse management best practices.
Drive automation and technology adoption to streamline warehouse processes.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and safety, to enhance overall operations.
Oversee and manage job site deliveries and milk run operations to ensure timely and accurate material drop-offs.
Develop and implement efficient routing strategies to optimize delivery schedules and reduce costs.
Collaborate with warehouse and installation teams to ensure materials are staged and delivered as needed.
Manage a team of drivers, including hiring, training, and performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with all transportation safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor and maintain vehicle fleet readiness, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
Track delivery metrics, resolve delivery issues, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Maintain clear communication with customers and field teams to address material needs and schedule changes.
Drive operational efficiency by identifying and implementing best practices in logistics and delivery management.
REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)
Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and operational technology.
Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in warehouse environments.
Experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations, preferably in construction or solar industries.
Ability to develop and optimize delivery schedules and routes.
Knowledge of DOT and safety regulations related to material transportation.
Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and ability to oversee fleet operations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires extended periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
Ability to stand for entire shift on concrete floors
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and 50+ lbs with assistance
Ability to work in a non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year
Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment
Ability to work alone and self supervise
Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work
Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50lbs frequently unassisted)
Able to hear alarms and commands from a distance
Able to use ladders and step stools to access materials
Able to operate a forklift, and push and pull hand carts and hand trucks
Able to read labels and identify symbols

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$68,248.91 to $90,998.54
