AP STEM Teachers and AP STEM Tutors, we are looking for you!
Prompt is the highest-rated and most-recommended college admissions essay coaching company, and now we are adding AP Exam Prep to our portfolio of services. We're looking for part-time AP Exam Prep tutors to fill flexible, remote positions. We have a passion for growing our network of educators through paid training and ongoing mentor support, and for empowering our students to believe in their potential and strengthen their STEM skills. Our coach and tutor community includes teachers, parents, grad students, artists, and freelancers across many industries with a passion for education and collaboration.
Employment Options to Fit Your Lifestyle
We are looking for AP Tutors across the STEM subject areas (physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, calculus AB/ BC, environmental science, etc). You can tutor in one subject area or multiple. Because of the upcoming exams, we are initially looking for STEM tutors who are available mid-March through the first week of May.
This is seasonal but recurring work, so there will be additional opportunities for AP Exam tutoring throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
Meaningful Work
In addition to providing insightful and educational STEM subject area coaching, our tutors become thought partners and advisors to students through one-on-one video calls. You will form constructive and impactful relationships with young students at a pivotal time in their lives, refining their AP Exam skills and helping them envision their future as learners, community members, and leaders.
AP Exam Tutor Pay
AP Exam Tutor hourly pay is $25 per hour for new tutors, with tenure-based raises after the first year.
Student Coaching: The majority of your time will be spent with your matched student(s) in 50min test prep calls (+ 10min of prep or follow up) = 1 hour per call. During the mid-March through early May season, you may do one or more sessions per week.
Monthly Stipend: Determined by your employment option, our stipend covers non-editing work such as professional development and reading/responding to Slack messages or emails.
Bonuses: During our peak times, you may be eligible for bonuses.
