- Works in a timely fashion to meet project, client, and/or regulatory deadlines and project budgets.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers, subconsultants, and county/agency review staff.
- Working experience with NJDEP, RCRA and CERCLA regulations. Knowledge of NYSDEC, PADEP, and/or NYCDEP regulations desirable.
- Multi-media sampling and contractor oversight is part of day-to-day responsibilities.
- Compiles, reduces, analyzes, manages, and reports field, instrumentation, geological, and/or environmental data using spreadsheets and other tools.
- Composes technical reports, memoranda, and other written communication.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to travel and perform field work.
- Ability to work long hours and be on call to accommodate the second (and/or third shifts), if necessary.
- Effective communicator (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with basic MS Office software
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering
- Current OSHA 40-hour certification with a current 8-hour annual refresher course certification.
