Dewberry is seeking anEnvironmental Engineer with 2-4 years’ experience to be in our Parsippany, NJ office. The position will involve a variety of environmental sampling and reporting functions in support of site investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance assignments supporting various clients in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Required Skills & Required Experience

Works in a timely fashion to meet project, client, and/or regulatory deadlines and project budgets.
Communicates effectively with coworkers, subconsultants, and county/agency review staff.
Working experience with NJDEP, RCRA and CERCLA regulations. Knowledge of NYSDEC, PADEP, and/or NYCDEP regulations desirable.
Multi-media sampling and contractor oversight is part of day-to-day responsibilities.
Compiles, reduces, analyzes, manages, and reports field, instrumentation, geological, and/or environmental data using spreadsheets and other tools.
Composes technical reports, memoranda, and other written communication.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to travel and perform field work.
Ability to work long hours and be on call to accommodate the second (and/or third shifts), if necessary.
Effective communicator (verbal and written)
Proficiency with basic MS Office software
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering
Current OSHA 40-hour certification with a current 8-hour annual refresher course certification.
