We are looking for students at a 4-year university or college, majoring in Engineering (Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred), Environmental Science or Environmental Planning, to work with our team on our Sustainability initiatives. The Rivanna Authorities are engaged in multiple initiatives surrounding Climate Action, Natural Resource Protection and Climate Change Resilience. During this summer internship, you will work with our staff on data collection, evaluation, and visualization to establish facility baseline GHG emissions; conduct research on solar power and eV grant opportunities and assist with natural resources protection activities. This position may involve field work. You should feel comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel. Any experience with data analytics or visualization software (such as Power BI) is a definite plus.
Education: High School Graduate, Currently enrolled in an accredited Trade School, College, and/or University. Must have some coursework already completed and passed, and must be a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year student.
