Locations: Remote (some location restrictions apply)
This position will report to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety and be responsible for the administration, analytical review, compliance tracking, training and overall safety performance of their designated warehouse locations and associates.
Responsibilities
Continuously analyze and trend facility safety data, partnering with local leadership to develop and implement programs which will ensure company safety goals are met and maintained
Conduct on-site company audits of 15+ warehouse operations/facilities critical risk management activities and resources ensuring the safety of associates, facilities, equipment, and compliance of company policies; as well as all government regulatory standards
Communicate both verbally and in a written report all findings, recommendations, and completion timelines, derived from the onsite audit, to warehouse operators, facility leaders, and company executives
Utilize predictive analytics, of the company’s safety KPI data, to prioritize visits with a focus on locations below the company average, negative developing trends or increased concerns of incidents
Manage and act as safety liason with any outside vendors who are directed, whether through the company, insurance broker, captive or other business partners to perform onsite safety/compliance audits/visits of our buildings or campuses
Work in conjunction with leadership to conduct periodic review of processes and reporting tools to continuously improve the effectiveness and value of the audits
Participate in investigations of work related illness/injuries and company accidents to determine the “root cause” and make necessary recommendations for any corrective actions or process improvements
Responsible for interacting with Local, State and Federal agencies to assure compliance with laws pertaining to safety, health and environmental
Renew and track permits, licenses, and certifications relating to food safety, environmental compliance, and safety
Perform all other duties, as needed in support of department goals and projects
Qualifications
4+ years relevant experience including OSHA CFR1910 compliance, risk management program/policy ownership, incident investigation, workers’ compensation, and logistics
4+ years of Experience conducting safety audits preferred
Strong analytical skills with an inclination to accuracy and attention to detail
Working knowledge for incident reporting and tracking methods and systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, influence, and organizational skills.
Must be able to travel up to 50%
Must interact professionally with all associates, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s safety programs
Lean Green Belt certification preferred
