About Sustainability and Business Advisory
Within this vertical, we work with investors such as DFIs, impact funds and PE/VCs, enterprises and corporates across different facets of sustainability and ESG - broadly covering environment & climate, gender, decent work, circularity. We work across research, strategy and implementation in a variety of sectors including financial services, healthcare, agri-tech, real estate etc.
The Opportunity
The Consultant will be an integral part of our Sustainability and Business Advisory team, building positive relationships with clients and working closely with multiple teams in delivering solutions to enable high impact on the ground. They are required to solve project problems using research and consulting frameworks. This includes both quantitative and qualitative rigor which is done by analyzing given data and gaining insights through interviews with stakeholders. It will ensure gaining a broad knowledge base that cuts across sectors and geographies while driving the core of every project’s work.
Roles and responsibilities -
The Consultant will be responsible for:
Assess E&S risks, compliance gaps, and opportunities based on international standards, national and local regulations.
Engage with stakeholders, including clients, portfolio companies to gather relevant data
Prepare high-quality ESDD reports with clear recommendations for ESG compliance and integration
Prepare Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAPs) based on suggested recommendations.
Stay updated on evolving ESG regulations, sustainability trends, and industry best practices.
The Ideal Candidate:

This role will provide a high growth opportunity, exposure across all levels of leadership and will be instrumental in driving the next stage of growth. We are looking for passionate individuals who align with our vision and have the following profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
4-6 years of experience in Environmental & Social Due Diligence (ESDD), Water assessments. waste assessments, social and labour risk assessments,
Understanding of IFC Performance Standards, ADB and ILO guidelines, and national E&S regulations.
Experience in conducting site assessments and stakeholder consultations is a plus.
Proven ability to write concise, well-structured due diligence reports tailored to financial institutions and investors.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and develop practical mitigation strategies.
Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with clients and internal teams.
