Description
Our Wastewater Treatment team is looking for an Environmental Biologist to perform bacteriological and toxicity analyses using approved methodology. This person will collaborate with City departments, government entities, and environmental organizations for water quality and environmental projects.
Our lab works throughout the treatment process on testing to ensure that water being discharged into our waterways protects the health of our environment and our community.

Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Biology or closely related field of science;
AND
- Five years experience in a microbiology laboratory with related environmental and chemical testing experience;
- Work experience must include biological analytical procedures along with the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment: microscope, Microtox analyzer, Idexx system, and dissolved oxygen meter.
PREFERRED
- Experience in the use of other laboratory field equipment.
Licensing/Certification- Must possess current Driver's License;
- Must obtain and possess DS1 Drinking Water certification with MDNR within the probationary period.
PREFERRED
- MWEA Laboratory Analyst Certification;
- Missouri class "D" wastewater license.
