Mission
Reporting to the Business Development Associate Director, you will lead the generation of new business opportunities for solar and battery storage renewable energy projects across Italy, being in charge of identifying and analyzing the essential key points (their technical, financial, and environmental feasibility) in order to be successful in the development of new projects.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of the Italian Business Development Team.
- Leading search for new projects and new deals in Italy, including greenfield projects (new locations to develop from scratch), mid-stage projects (up to a certain development stage) and Ready to Build projects.
- Support to the M&A department in due diligence processes for the purchase and sale of projects.
- Leading assessment of both organic and M&A opportunities to ensure sizeable growth of the company.
- Coordinate inputs from all internal and external departments to run the financial model for co-development and greenfield projects.
- Market analysis and continuous research of new opportunities and assessment of the regulatory environment.
- Leading the participation and value offer in competitive processes to obtain energy sales contracts, connection points, land… in close collaboration with the corresponding functional areas.
- Relations with the different stakeholders in Italy in which it carries out business development tasks (public or private institutions, commercialization companies, off-takers, energy transporters or distributors, public bodies, …).
- Attending local and national events such as conferences, trade shows, summits… growing and improving the business network for the company in Italy.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor´s degree or Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
- Advanced level of English (at least C1).
- 5-10 years of experience in business development in the energy sector, especially focused on the solar photovoltaic market. Experience in BESS solutions is a plus.
- Availability to travel.
- Very strong managerial capabilities.
- Charisma.
