You’re an experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering background and a passion for renewable energy. You thrive in high-stakes environments, ensuring utility-scale solar projects (20MW+) are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership skills enable you to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage financials, and drive projects forward with precision and efficiency. You’re confident in your ability to navigate regulatory requirements, mitigate risks, and oversee contractor performance.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You’ll be leading the full lifecycle of large-scale solar projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. Managing project schedules, finances, and risk assessments will be key to ensuring successful delivery. You’ll oversee contractor and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with South African regulations. Engaging with stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, will be a crucial part of your role as you drive projects to completion while maintaining the highest industry standards.

What you’ll need
You’ll need a B.Eng. or BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory) degree and 10+ years of experience leading utility-scale solar projects. A proven track record of delivering projects above 20MW is essential, along with strong financial and contract management skills. Your ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and navigate the complexities of large-scale infrastructure projects will set you apart.
