How to contribute to our vision
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Professional to coordinate and conduct all inbound logistics activities for our Cuxhaven plant among others, if needed. This role is critical in ensuring the 100% availability of materials and components at the right time, quality, quantity, and cost. The successful candidate will contribute to superior logistic process quality and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Schedule and track shipments. Maintain, update, and communicate relevant information regarding delivery schedules, stock-and-order status, and shipments from suppliers, transport, warehouse, and demand planning.
- Coordinate and conduct with Suppliers and Carriers to manage operations and resolve transportation issues.
- Clarify/coordinate the import HS code with shipper (SGRE or suppliers).
- Receive export docs from Suppliers and support ECC/ brokers with Customs documentation and declarations.
- Support of the preparation of temporary import and export customs documents for Transport equipment.
- Coordinate with finance and ECC to prepare the payment for import Duty and VAT to customs and tax bureau.
- Coordinate with Carriers & Warehouse for deliveries.
- Implement Global transport agreements & ensure execution across all plants.
- Request for transport quotations.
- Review invoices related to logistics activities.
- Ensure costs are under control and within budget
- Take responsibility for the operational logistic status and inform involved stakeholders adequately.
- In cooperation with other accountable stakeholders, document and process delivery complaints or transport damages.
- Develop and manage logistics/ shipping instructions specific to Germany, aligned with plant & ECC requirements.
What You Need To Make a Difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. You do not necessarily need any specific education background, as long as you have the required experience.
To be successful in this role, you need/are:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Freight forwarding knowledge and/or experience is a plus
- Your English is of a very high standard (B2 level) - both spoken and written
- Fluency in German, written and spoken, based working environment capability (at least B1 level)
- Experience with onshore & offshore inbound logistics operations.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Experience with port operations management/handling
- Experience with dealing with transport companies
- Knowledge of the logistics finance, cost optimization, budget management and financial analysis in supply chain operations.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management.
- Proven experience with FCA (Free Carrier) terms and inbound logistics.
- Proven experience with Customs formalities and compliance processes.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Knowledge of relevant KPIs and experience in KPI reporting.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with various stakeholders, including team members and external partners.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage time effectively.
