POSITION SUMMARY
As a Solar and Storage Design Consultant (SDC), you advance the organization’s impact by consistently meeting performance targets in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry. You are a motivated self-starter and work directly with potential customers through the sales life cycle, combining strong interpersonal skills and persuasion with technical fluency in order to design, price, and sell custom residential solar and storage projects. You’ll join a high-performing team that centers empathy, respect, and the belief that cooperation leads to a better customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continually achieve individual sales and team bonus benchmarks by converting company-provided leads to projects
- Effectively and proactively communicate with leads to discover their goals, construct persuasive value propositions, teach technical concepts, and negotiate/close
- Accurately price and design projects and ensure a quality handoff to our operations team
- Be a solar and storage expert by staying up-to-date on products, warranties, code, and incentive programs
- Maintain Salesforce CRM records
- Travel up to 40% to prospective customers’ sites (as applicable)
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably solar sales
- 2+ years work experience that required strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly organized self-starter who can prioritize multiple projects and maintain attention to detail
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people
- Creative and innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
- Reliable transportation
PREFERRED (Desired but not required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
- NABCEP Certification in PV Technical Sales
- Experience in Aurora or another solar design software
- Experience in Salesforce of another CRM
- Spanish languages skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Base salary of $30,000
- Base salary increase upon earning NABCEP in PV Technical Sales
- Uncapped commission
- Bonus program

Our top performers have the potential to earn $150,000 and beyond in total compensation.
