Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design & Draft: Produce detailed technical drawings (mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, and SLDs) for solar installations
  • Site Data Collection: Conduct site visits to gather real-world data and ensure accuracy in your designs
  • Collaborative Design: Work closely with engineers and design teams to integrate systems effectively
  • Ensure Compliance: Perform quality control checks and ensure that all designs meet IEC standards and South African regulations
  • Assist with Project Documentation: Help prepare Bills of Quantities, cable schedules, and label schedules to support smooth project execution

Desired Experience & Qualification

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-matric qualifications in technical drawing (e.g., Drawing Office Practice, AutoCAD LT certification)
  • ISO9001 Drafting works Process Owner/Champion

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in solar PV and BESS design and drafting for commercial and industrial projects
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and HelioScope, with a strong focus on electrical layout design, site planning, and system integration
  • Ability to produce high-quality drawings that align with engineering standards and regulatory compliance
  • Proven track record in producing accurate technical drawings for solar projects

EUR 40K - 60K per annum.
