A company in the renewable energy sector, owned by a JSE-listed company, is hiring a part-time Financial Manager. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract and reports to the CFO. This role encompasses a broad range of financial responsibilities, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Overseeing the trial balance and financial reports.
Ensuring adherence to IFRS and other relevant regulations.
Supporting month-end, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
Ensuring adherence to compliance requirements (FICA, etc.).
Cash and Treasury Management:
Managing daily cash flow.
Forecasting cash flow.
Handling foreign currency transactions, including imports/exports and FECs.
Reconciliations and Ledger Management:
Reviewing financial reconciliations.
Ensuring accurate GL allocations.
Managing supplier payments.
VAT and Tax Compliance:
Managing monthly VAT submissions.
System and Process Management:
Managing and improving financial processes.
Including ERP system administration and internal control systems.
Financial Analysis and Planning:
Assisting with financial analysis.
Risk mitigation.
Budgeting.
Forecasting.
Stock management.
Audit and Reporting:
Supporting internal and external audits.
Preparing various financial reports.
Asset Management:
Maintaining the fixed asset register.
Strategic Support and Leadership:
Assisting the CFO in building a forward-thinking finance department.
Contributing to strategic financial planning.
Team Management and Supervision:
Overseeing daily financial administration.
Supervising team members.
Ensuring accurate and timely data capture.
Process Improvement and Control:
Implementing best practices.
Improving process flows.
Managing external relationships.
Ensuring effective internal controls
Risk Management and Compliance:
Ensuring FICA compliance.
Implementing risk and control matrices.

Requirements
Qualifications
CA (SA) or CIMA qualification preferable
5 years' in a similar position
Zoho Accounting knowledge or similar ERP System
Skills and Abilities
Highly analytical and ability to apply judgement
Ability to work independently and drive delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain working relationships
Ability to prioritise and delegate tasks
