Position Summary:
The main mission of the DTS Solutions Architect is to grow the business of EcoStruxure Transformer Expert (ETE) and associated Digital Services. Digital Services is an organization that uses disruptive IOT, SaaS technologies focused on condition monitoring and predictive analytics of power distribution equipment. The candidate will be part of the Global Services Commercial team and will operate in tight collaboration with the country organization to support the internal transformer factories to drive native attachment of EcoStruxture Transformer Expert to new transformers and engage customers, transformer OEM partners and partners to understand the benefits of the offer, educate them on customers’ trends, needs and digital journeys. The candidate will have in-depth knowledge of power and distribution transformers and fleet maintenance cycles to drive primarily the value proposition of ETE and other IOT Technologies in the different market segments.
Responsibilities:
1) Support Schneider Electric Transformer factories, OEM’s and channel partners in qualifying opportunities to natively attach ETE and the rest of
by tightly working with offer managers, performing voice of customer surveys to collect relevant feedback and requirements to specify ETE in any new transformer leaving the factory.
2) Be the technical advisor to our Transformer facilities around the US in order to make sure that ETE is being included in any new transformer
projects.
3) Identify partners in the market where we can become the preferred Transformer monitoring solution for those partners and their customers.
4) Support internal sales teams whit technical knowledge about transformers and digital monitoring solutions when the occasional brownfield opportunity is found.
5) Contribute to strategic studies, such as competition benchmarking, offer positioning in the local market and white paper creation for local technical conferences.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Electrical Power Distribution Systems knowledge (MV, LV)
• Strong knowledge on communication protocols like Modbus, DNP3 and others like MQTT.
• Knowledge or equivalent experience in designing substation communication network architectures.
• Knowledge or equivalent experience in designing substation Electrical Power Monitoring Systems.
• Solid knowledge of industrial cybersecurity requirements is a BIG plus
• Knowledge and proven experience in the construction, operation and maintenance for Liquid-type and Dry-type transformers.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the subject matter—transformer condition monitoring, maintenance, and repair or similar.
• Knowledge on different transformer diagnostic methods and technologies such as DGA and/or on field electrical tests.
• Understanding of the PM role, requirements and typical PM issues when executing solutions.
• Proven cross functional team leadership.
• Ideally but not required: has experience as a user/owner of a transformer fleet and with experience in the maintenance cycle
