What You’ll Work On
The Sales Engineer (SE) increases sales of Campbell Scientific Centro Caribe S.A. (CSCC) products by generating new business and ensuring the development and maintenance of existing customer accounts. The SE assesses the potential applicability of CS products and services and provides solutions that meet customer needs. They educate clients and communicate their feedback for future product development. The SE leverages technical knowledge of Campbell Scientific products and services to promote and drive sales.
You’ll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks
- Proactively increase CSCC sales revenue within our Environmental sector clients.
- Travel within Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean for sales visits and client relationship management as needed.
- Develop proposals in response to customer requests.
- Develop value-added resellers (VARs) and integrators in alignment with sales strategy.
- Assist in developing internal product development, marketing, and sales strategies based on market demands, including case studies, courses, and product brochures.
- Utilize industry experience and contacts to develop business and tailor our solutions to customer needs.
- Manage key customer accounts.
- Respond to and follow up on requests for proposals and product information, as well as provide customers with training opportunities on CSCC products.
- Design and budget solutions for complex data acquisition and multi-station network systems according to customer needs.
- Onboard and strengthen value-added resellers (VARs) and integrators in line with the Environmental market partner strategy.
- Identify and report on market changes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably with a focus on sales, business, or the environment).
- Minimum of two years of experience in the environmental measurement equipment sales sector.
- Technical sales experience in the Environmental sector (Meteorology, Hydrology, etc.).
- Equivalent combinations of education and work experience may be considered.
- Preferably, experience with Campbell Scientific dataloggers and/or other measurement devices such as RTUs, PLCs, etc.
- Preferably, experience in solar and/or wind energy resource assessment projects or operational monitoring.
- Preferably, knowledge of commonly used instrumentation in the Environmental sector (pyranometers, anemometers, etc.).
- Preferably, experience with automated remote electronic measurement systems, sensors, and peripherals.
- Proficiency in CRM ("Client Relationship Management") tools.
- Understanding of computer network protocols.
- Strong computer and office software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Proven problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated to drive sales.

- B2-level English proficiency.
Work Environment
Primarily an office environment, with up to 20-25% travel for client visits. Remote work (telecommuting) may be possible.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs, sit or stand for long periods, and walk on uneven terrain for extended durations.
- Willingness to obtain certification for working at heights and in confined spaces.
