Purpose:
To manage and update property data systems, conduct property searches and address changes, issue planning certificates, analyse land use data, and support strategic planning with research, mapping and 3D modelling.
About the role:
- Manage, monitor and issue planning certificates under Section 10.7 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to meet key performance measures.
- Ensure the integrity of Council's property data system is maintained, including the verification of data layers related to 10.7 Certificates as required under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.
- Undertake research, land use analysis, data collection, and monitoring of land use information and databases/ spreadsheets including mapping, 3D modelling/computer aided design.
- Assist with the preparation of planning instruments, policies and guidelines for managing the built and natural environment of the City.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in planning or a related land use or environmental management field or relevant demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated research, data collection and analysis skills preferably in land use or environmental management disciplines.
- Understanding of the functions and aims of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
- Proficient in property information systems, GIS, and 3D modelling/computer aided design.
