Environment & Sustainability Internship
Position Summary: Clayton offers a multitude of different opportunities through our Summer Internship Program. The Clayton Summer Internship Program challenges students to think critically and analytically within their field
of study while allowing them direct, hands-on working experience.
Internship Program Details:
- Internships are paid, full-time, hourly positions.
- Internship dates are May 19th – August 8th 2025
- Internships include several professional development workshops and opportunities for networking with other interns across Clayton's various lines of business.
- Interns will facilitate a presentation of their Summer project to Clayton Senior Leadership at the completion of their internship.
What you will do:
- Responsible for the education of composting and recycling campus wide
- Support in gaining the LEED certification for the Clayton Home Office
What skills you will learn or develop:
- Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment educating over 2,000 Team Members on sustainability.
- Experience working through the LEED certification process
- Working with Senior Leadership
Qualifications:
- Must be a senior, or recent graduate of a degree program in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Environmental Education or related field.
- Excellent presentation skills required.
- Some knowledge of composting and recycling
- Ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships at all levels.
- Prior experience with LEED and/or education/implementation of sustainability projects desired.
