RPO's client is actively seeking a skilled Solar Sales Representative to join our client in Benoni, East Rand. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated sales professional to drive solar energy adoption by identifying potential clients, designing tailored solar solutions, and closing sales. Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate leads through cold calling, referrals, networking events, online research, and partnerships with local businesses.

  • Utilise CRM tools to manage leads and track sales progress.

  • Conduct in-depth consultations with potential customers to understand their energy needs.

  • Evaluate properties' solar potential and provide tailored solutions.

  • Present the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and potential government incentives.

  • Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to educate customers about solar energy.

  • Explain the installation process and address any concerns or objections.

  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate proposals outlining recommended solar system designs, equipment specifications, financial analysis, and estimated return on investment.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.

  • Effectively negotiate terms and pricing to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring profitability.

  • Overcome objections and address customer concerns to facilitate the closing of deals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the sales process and beyond.

  • Provide excellent customer service, address enquiries, and manage post-installation follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and foster referrals.

  • Stay updated on solar industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and government policies related to renewable energy.

  • Continuously enhance knowledge of solar technology advancements and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, installation, and project management, to ensure a seamless transition from sales to installation.

  • Communicate customer requirements and provide necessary documentation for successful project execution.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in solar sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience in designing and quoting solar systems.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems, market trends, and government incentives.

  • Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for renewable energy.
