Job Description Summary
This is a recruitment for a short-term/temporary position.
Under supervision of the Renewable Energy Camp Facilitator, Cuesta College’s lead instructor for the camp, act as an aide to the Facilitator and High School Teacher Assistants, engaging with the camp’s high school participants in topics related to renewable energy and the environment.
A 4-day camp for high school students is planned for Monday-Thursday June 23-26, 2025 at Paso Robles High School. Two or more Aides needed to assist with learning activities during the camp sessions.
Essential Functions & Qualifications
- Assist student participants with academic and hands-on technical learning activities focusing on renewable energy, environmental impact, and relevant career pathways;
- Participate in an orientation on curriculum and training activities;
- Assist with classroom management and monitoring of participants;
- A current college student in a STEM or related subject;
- Demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and of staff and students with physical and learning disabilities.
Additional Information
This is a short-term/temporary position. Students currently enrolled at Cuesta College will be given priority.
Assignment Details
Immediate need beginning in late Spring/early Summer 2025:
- Spring 2025: Up to 4 hours for orientation and training
- Monday-Thursday June 23-26, 2026 (6 hours per day, min. 24 hours total)
- Location: Paso Robles High School
