Full and effective implementation of the company’s quality health, safety & environmental management systems and monitor implementation of controls on field of SGRE procedure
Proactive monitoring, hazard identification and facilitating the implementation of effective control measures including contractors'
Partnering with operations management and employees to provide advice and guidance on legislation, standards and local expectations / guidelines.
Perform point of work visits to engage with site technicians, perform HSE inspections / quality audits and provide coaching & development and on-site guide and trainings including contractor management.
Communication and collaboration with other EQS team members across the business to share learning and develop best practice.
Drive, manage and maintain the implementation of country health& wellbeing programs and initiatives.
Provide procedural related HSE training and guide to site team with adequate HSE knowledge.
Create, develop and assist with delivery of HSE inductions and training. Provide assistance in the completion and regular review of risk assessments.
Ensure all accidents, incident, and near misses are recorded, reported and investigated in accordance with company procedures and all corrective actions are identified, implemented, monitored and reviewed. Develop lesson learned and issuance in system and to site.
If relevant, reporting to local authorities. Typically on an annual basis i.e. consumption/import/export of F-Gas, WEEE products, dangerous goods transports, chemicals, waste generation.
If relevant, Manage the environmental reporting in the EHS reporting tool, ensure plausible Environmental data reported.
Ensure reporting of incidents to local authorities incl. collection of personnel information, statements etc
Ensure HSE event statistics and KPI’s are compiled, analyzed for trends, acted upon locally and shared throughout the business as necessary development of lessons learned and issuance of safety alerts where necessary.
Ensure all relevant health, safety and environmental records (e.g. records of thorough examination, risk assessments, training records etc.) are kept, maintained and updated as and when necessary.
Undertake any reasonable activity that assists the business and the fulfilment of HSE related objectives. Eg. maintain customer HSE communication, completion of questionnaires, HSE audits/inspections onsite and corrective actions closed.
Facilitate and support #HomeSafe and customer initiative, i.e. ZeroHarm, forums / workshops and develop a continual cultural improvement program.
EHS in Supplier/Contractor Management Support qualification of suppliers/ onsite evaluation of contractors/vendors. Provide HSE training to site contractors to understand HSE basic requirements/ lesson learned regarding Business level conformance.
Other HSE tasks assigned by the manager.
What you will bring:
To be successful in this role you will bring:
An Undergraduate degree or equivalent Diploma level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Solid site based HSE experience preferably within a large construction project environment, oil and gas, civil or engineering.
Solid knowledge of QHSE processes and relevant Australian safety legislation.
Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in compliance with OH&S Legislation.
Highly developed written, verbal communication skills.
A current unrestricted Australian Driver’s License.
Ideally you will hold GWO BST qualification.
Experience with ISO 45001 maintenance and development will be highly regarded.
You will be located in the Adelaide area and live within 1 hour of Snowtown or Hornsdale Wind Farms. You will have the capacity to travel frequently within South Australia and to Badgingarra Wind Farm in Western Australia.
You will be highly organised and thrive in a busy and ever-changing environment. You will be a self-starter and have the ability to work autonomously and as part of geographically dispersed teams. With a sharp eye for detail, you will be skilled in juggling to meet competing deadlines. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will be a key strength coupled with your sound influencing skills.
You will lead by example and champion a best practice safety culture to support SGRE’s “Safety is my Choice” culture.
