Service Technician
Job Description
The Service Technician is a leadership role within the Service Department responsible for leading repair efforts in the field. This position requires a broad understanding of PV systems, a high degree of technical aptitude, and excellent customer service skills. This role is currently a shared field resource between the Service and Field Crew teams as the service department continues to grow. Service workloads will vary each week, but the primary function of this role will be to meet the technician needs of the Service Team, then joining the Field Crew to complete PV projects.
Responsibilities

- Act as a goodwill ambassador for Ecotech to our new and existing customers, with a kind, empathetic, and professional demeanor
- Execute (multiple) “service truck rolls” each day, visiting sites and repairing, replacing, and installing various PV, storage, and communication equipment in a timely manner
- Exhibit good judgement, balancing time commitments to completely resolve issues, while working within reasonably-estimated repair times
- Pursue diligent record keeping, delivering on expectations set by Service Team to clients, conveying customer feedback, and through interactions with equipment manufacturers
- Be a self-driven learner, striving to pursue complete knowledge of current and previous-generation equipment and regulations
- Communicate with customers on-site to gather feedback, learn their goals, and learn of potential future sales opportunities for Ecotech

Required for this role:
- Comfort with a highly varied environment, filled with different challenges every day
- A strong desire to learn everything they can about historical and current solar system construction, operation, and common points of failure, across the past two decades of PV design.
- PV installation experience with electrical aptitude (2+ years preferred)
- Working knowledge of national and local electrical and building code
- Administrative and organizational proficiency
- Embodies similar or compatible values

- Ability to lift 70+ lbs equipment onto a wall
