Job Description

Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

Location: Mpumalanga, South Africa

Job Type: 24 Months

Department: Safety and Compliance

Reports To: Project Director

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our renewable energies project team in Mpumalanga. This role is crucial for ensuring all project activities meet the strictest safety standards and comply with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety plans for renewable energy projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and devise strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to enforce safety standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to project staff on health and safety practices.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims.
  • Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.
  • Oversee the installation of safety devices on machinery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the renewable energies
  • Must be registered as an HSE Manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).
