Through our innovative design, manufacturing, installation and service approach, we have introduced game-changing technology for residential and commercial solar applications.
The person in this role will be responsible for leading development tasks encompassing controls software, electrical design, project management, testing, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance. This includes introducing new innovations to the SmartFlower system as well as improvements with the goals of increased reliability, power generation, and decreasing costs. Technical and occasional field support is also required to assist our global field team.
Annual salary starting at $120,000
Job Duties:
- Lead software and control system design g efforts for new product development and implementation
- Lead system reliability and improvement projects
- Manage projects with global third-party software and electrical engineering firms worldwide
- Develop and implement system retrofits and upgrades as product evolves
- Must understand control system software design and logic
- Up to 5% travel Internationally for engineering and manufacturing support
Location: Woburn, MA with convenient access to I-93
Schedule: Typical hours are 8:00AM to 5:00 PM with occasional longer hours based on customer needs

RequirementsWe are interested in candidates with a minimum of 5 years of engineering related experience with control system design. Relevant experience in solar tracking or related electro-mechanical products is a plus. A BS in an engineering or computer science related field is preferred
Preferred qualifications include:
- Minimum 5 years product development experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
- Ability to work independently, efficiently and proactively on multiple projects under deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude and commitment to quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to read plans, specifications, one-line diagrams, equipment submittals, and material data sheets
- Knowledge of control systems applied to renewable energy
- Proficiency with Python and other similar programming languages (required)
- Ability to set clear expectations and deliver performance feedback
- Experience with software and project management tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket and Git (required)
