We are looking for a growth-obsessed Business Development Manager (HOD) to join our dynamic team in Goa. We are looking for someone with 2-6 years of experience in developing and managing relationships with external companies or individuals to sell and distribute solar energy products or services, acting as a sales extension for the solar company by generating leads, closing deals, and ensuring customer satisfaction within their designated market area, often with a focus on building a network of resellers, installers, or distributors to expand market reach.


Who should apply?


  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the solar energy sector.

  • A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving consistent revenue growth.

  • Strong understanding of the Indian solar energy landscape, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities include leading the team to accomplish the following tasks.

  • Partner Recruitment and Development:

-Identify potential channel partners aligned with the company's target market and business goals.

-Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers at partner companies.

-Onboard new partners by providing comprehensive training on solar products, sales processes, and company policies.

  • Sales and Marketing Support:

-Develop and execute joint marketing plans with partners to generate leads and awareness.

-Provide sales materials, pricing information, and product demonstrations to partners.

-Collaborate on lead generation strategies and nurture leads through the sales funnel.

  • Deal Management:

-Track sales performance of channel partners against targets and provide coaching and support.

  • Manage lead distribution and registration to ensure proper attribution and conflict resolution.

  • Facilitate communication between partners and the solar company to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Technical Expertise:

-Stay updated on solar technology advancements and industry trends to advise partners effectively.

-Provide technical support to partners regarding system design, installation, and troubleshooting.

  • Compliance and Reporting:

-Ensure channel partners adhere to all relevant regulations and compliance standards.

-Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on sales activity and channel partner performance


Job Specifications:


  • Technical Skills: Zoho Suite is mandatory, Calendar Management, MS Office/Google Suite.

  • In-depth knowledge of various solar mounting systems (rooftop, ground-mount) is required.

  • Soft Skills: Conversational Skills, Documentation & Presentation, Teamwork, Organization & Analysis, Time Management & Multitasking, Learning & Articulation, Attention to Detail.

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electrical/Meshanical Engineering or Renewable Energy

  • Strong understanding of the solar energy industry, including product offerings, installation processes, and market dynamics. 

  • Proven sales experience with a track record of success in building and managing channel partnerships.

How do you grow with us? 

We know you're a financial whiz with a knack for problem-solving. That being said, the expected outcomes are:

30-day target

1. Learn all tech systems and product/service offerings to be effective in the position

2. Familiarize yourself with Renevik's processes, tools, and softwares (e.g., Zoho Suite). Shadow 

3. Start building relationships with key industry players and potential referral partners.

60-day target

1. Develop and qualify a robust sales pipeline with a healthy mix of residential, C&I, and ground-mounted projects.

2. Collaborate with engineers to determine optimal solar solutions and prepare customized proposals.

3. Establish working relationships with key team members across departments and stakeholders

4.Effectively negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring win-win outcomes on pricing and project scope

90-day target

1.Secure and finalize contracts for new solar projects, meeting or exceeding assigned sales quota.

2.Contribute to the growth of the BDM team by sharing best practices and mentoring junior colleagues.

3. Identify and pursue upselling or cross-selling opportunities for additional services or equipment.
