Assignment during internship:
You will learn to perform a variety of technical tasks on renewable assets (solar, wind, storage) under seniors’ supervision, including:
- Cadastral technical analysis and land lease review
- Site assessment and constraint analysis
- Civil design review
- Main equipment review
- Preparation of Technical Due Diligence report, assessing project/portfolio of projects’ risks
- Support the engineering team in the Owner´s Engineering services
- Development of internal database
- Development of consultancy skills, adapting work to customer’s needs and priorities
The Candidate We Seek
We are looking for an ambitious, highly vocational and skilled student or recent graduated in engineering with interest in renewable energy, wind turbines, solar PV projects, civil design works and constraints analysis, to work and learn with our Renewables Engineering and Due Diligence Team. The Candidate will be based in Bologna office and involved in independent and owner’s engineering services through the entire lifecycle of renewable projects and for a wide range of Customers, supported by colleagues from other disciplines. While the focus will be on the Italian Renewables market, international collaboration is to be expected with the larger DNV group, in particular with the Southern Europe team.

Qualifications- Bachelor / Master Degree in Civil Engineering, or Architecture (Ingegneria Edile e Architettura), Environmental engineer (Ingegneria per l’ambiente e il territorio) or Urban planning (Urbanistica) (or other relevant discipline). Student in the last year or recently graduated.
- Knowledge of geotechnical test and analysis, topographic survey and analysis and survey, hydrogeological hydraulic and drainage system sizing
- Knowledge of NTC and structures and foundation design
- Knowledge of GIS software (at least basic use)
- Use of data analysis software (power Bi, etc.)
- Good communication skills in Italian and English, both written and oral
- Quantitative and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General understanding of Renewables market (wind and/or solar PV projects)
- Economic impact of civil works
- Familiarity with international standards (IEC, CET, others)
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
