DescriptionWe are looking for a highly-motivated Business Management candidate to support the CASS business more broadly including the Center for Carbon Transition and Sustainable Solutions teams, based in our NYC office. It involves working closely with the business as well as functional partners and multiple stakeholders. You will support the business in a broad range of areas and this responsibility will involve effective coordination with key stakeholders across the firm. You will need to establish a large network throughout all functions supporting the business: Risk, Legal, Compliance, Business Control, Technology, Chief Data Office, Finance, and others.
The individual needs to be a self-starter, able to articulate their thoughts clearly and have excellent attention to detail. The individual will be interfacing with a variety of internal counterparts across the firm. The role is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad spectrum of businesses, multiple asset classes across geographies and become an ESG subject matter expert on the Firm’s Sustainable Development and Paris-aligned/NZE financing commitments as well as ESG offerings and solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Liaise with Front Office, Sustainability team, CIB Strategy team, Risk, Finance/Controllers, Compliance, Legal and other internal functions
- Provides leverage to the management and execution of priorities including developing business processes and controls, technology solutions ideas and project management
- Supports the Global Business Manager as a trusted advisor to the heads of CASS verticals, and represents the group on various forums
- Business Performance Management - business reviews, competitive positioning, expense management, vendor management
- Proactively highlights and resolves issues and risks that impact the business, liaising closely with firm wide risk, control and legal & compliance functions
- Understands process and governance of existing ESG-related data management frameworks within the Firm and identifies synergy and scalability opportunities
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience with or interest in Sustainability, climate transition and ESG topics
- Robust understanding of Investment Banking products, and broader CIB products and decision-making processes
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and quantitative analysis skills; proficient in Excel modelling and comfortable working with large datasets
- Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to convey information clearly, accurately and succinctly (both written and verbally)
- Ability to excel and maintain a positive attitude in a high-performance, fast-paced professional environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a small team and with senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and high quality of work
- Ability to draft high-impact presentations and documentation
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and time sensitive deliverables
